DESCRIPTION:3c black, blue-gray, blue, green (2) & red Admiral Reverse Sample Proofs. All various sheet margin copies with selvedge. These were made in Germany by Dr. Eckerlin as a proposal for a cheaper security printing method, the rotary intaglio process. The scarcest of the 5 known colours is deep blue-gray.
