It is official, we have reserved our table at a stamp show once again! As many of you will already know, CAPEX 22 is in the works for June 9-12, 2022 and Deveney Stamps is proud to be a part of it. It is extremely exciting to be thinking about attending a stamp bourse once again where we can see our old collecting friends and meet the new ones that our online presence has introduced us to!

The show is being advertised as the first International single frame stamp championship exhibition and is sure to draw some of philately's most prestigious and important material as well as collectors and dealers. The show will be in Toronto, Ontario and as always we are excited to take the Deveney Stamps name physically across those Rocky Mountains and head out east!

Here are a few excerpts from the CAPEX 22 website about the show:

"Exhibitions are the heart of philately. There one can see the great philatelic treasures and marvel at the exhibits and the love and ingenuity with which they were put together. New treasures are found at auction or in a dealer box. One can learn about new aspects of the hobby in seminars, meet fellow members of clubs and societies, re-unite with old friends and make new friends.

CAPEX 22 will host dealer booths, with dealers from around the world. The convention hall will be loaded with an enormous quantity of stamps, covers and collections, from single rarities to bursting boxes of collections. There will be more stamps under one roof, than at any Canadian stamp event in over 25 years. Find that elusive item for which you have been searching for years. Check the dealer websites and contact the dealers in advance and let them know what you’d like them to bring to the show."

That last point is a good one, especially where Deveney Stamps is concerned. For those of you who have met with us at a show in the past you have become used to our entire stock (or close to it) accompanying us for your viewing, this will no longer be the case. Because we now have over 80% of our material listed here on our website or on the ebay store, we will no longer be bringing everything and instead, more bulk material (that cannot be listed online accurately) and the stamps specifically requested by collectors will be brought. A large screen will be setup on our table where we can view the inventory together and discuss stamp additions to your collection without taking the risk of travelling with such a large inventory. Material purchased will be shipped by our team here at the shop and will (in many cases) be waiting for you when you return home from the show! This will allow us to spend more time engaging with fellow collectors and dealers as well as enjoy the cities where the shows are held.
